Panteli Horn’s classical theatrical play comes to life and brings a fragrance of old Athens to the open air stage of Chitirio Theater from 7 of May 2018. An Athenian court in the interwar period. The economic crisis tests the values and morals of everyday people and brings to light the social problems of the time. Everyday Heroes – Ordinary people portray the lifestyle of that time through the author’s ethnographic gaze.
Tula, the little girl, falls in love with young Yango. But he betrays her love for the eyes of beautiful Eve, an experienced woman with a lot of important and rich people in her friendship circle that Yango can take advantage of since he has financial problems. When Tula’s pregnancy is revealed, Mrs. Katina, a “free-spirited woman” will help the little girl and her family by bringing to light the moral dilemmas and situations that test the character of all heroes.
A play that can be current in any time and period, classic, full of images of the past as well as similarities to today’s moral decline and dilemmas.
