How can I Explain it? (2014)

The theatrical play “How can I explain it? ”, directed by Eftichia Argiropoulou, is a psychological Drama. Stories of everyday people who are bent by extreme conditions and victims who become avengers. The play deals with issues of sexual abuse, domestic violence, sexual frustration and the denial of death in a retro atmosphere (1930-1940).

“How can I explain it?” is in fact a group of stories linked together in one. And this story looks familiar to you as if it was part of your life. If not yours, someone else’s who looks like you. We are similar but never the same. A lot of things unite us; a lot of things divide us. Somewhere in our life we meet people. How long will we stay together? Nobody knows, not even life itself. As unexpectedly as we unite, so unexpectedly we separate. You cannot predict what will happen to you or which way you will deal with it. Some can manage through hardship, some cannot overcome the difficulties. The second ones are the heroes of ” How can I explain it?”.

“I still can’t understand why some things happen. Even now that I know more than before, there are facts that I still haven’t managed to explain. And I doubt that I will ever do. You just accept things. Not everyone can afford the weight of life. We must find the courage to do so, but some things are so unexpected that even Life itself cannot deal with them so…how can we ? … “
