The new production of the Municipal Theater of Kozani is “ Summer Night Dream_dreamers” directed by Stelios Chatziadamidis based on “A Midsummer’s Night Dream”, one of William Shakespeare’s most important and multi-dimensional works. With this performance, the Municipal Theatre of Kozani commemorates the 400th anniversary of the death of the leading Elizabethan poet and seeks to lead adolescents and adults into the seductive world of this great author.

Summer in a magical forest. Four young people enter it to enjoy love, away from rules, bans, and compromises. Lysandros, Ermia, Dimitrios and Helen are in a hurry to live, to experience their dreams, to play, roll in the meadows, quarrel, be lonely, listen to their heartbeat, go crazy with love and desire. Alongside, there are elves, kings and craftsmen but also an amateur fisherman living together in a dreamy stage universe that immediately …catches our eye.
How do we see? How do we fall in love? And what is it the thing that attracts us to a creature? An illustration of the comic nature and the dark paths of love, of the “eyes” of the lovers, of the words that once really hurt us and then returned to our lips, but above all, an expression of those who pursue their dreams.
