Song
The idea was born in the summer of 2013 in Aigiali, Amorgos. It does not matter who the “father” of the idea was. What really matters is the “family” that now fulfil it; people who give it a soul through their music, not in a perfect or academic way but in a true and meaningful way. Starting from Aegiali and Chora of Amorgos, in the summer of 2013, the musical band * Apanema * has appeared in various venues in Athens, with variations in composition and songs presented. A program full of songs that we all love is waiting for you. Songs that have either raised us, nourished us, or marked us. Everything will be interpreted with the personality and style of “Apanema”, that is… Soul & Grouve.

A light, folk program full of well loved songs with two voices, a guitar and a bouzouki, was presented at the “Akris” stage in the capital of Thira.
Following Kellis Stamoulakis’s “The Prince and the Pauper” show, an illustrated book containing a Cd with the songs of the play composed by Lavrentis Mahairitsas was also released.

The Holy Archdiocese of Athens and Athens Concert Hall organized a concert in the famous Church of Aghios Panteleimonas on December 12, 2010. The Greek President of Democracy, Karolos Papoulias, was present. |
I had a great time at the “Ocean” Bar. I sang at the beginning of the program to encourage the audience. I sang with them to help them free themselves and they could choose to sing a duet with me if they wanted. I wasn’t purely a singer, I was animateur: commenting on the flow of the evening in a humorous way, deciding the order of the songs, presenting the people … Live nights full of music and singing.
In 2003, through my dear friend Thomas Vournazou, who was student at the School of Architecture, I got in touch with the Aristotle University music band. From 2003 to 2010 I studied opera singing. Really demanding! When I was in Thessaloniki, I joined Hionati’s Gina class in the Municipal Conservatoire. I reached the middle class. During that period I also attended 2 seminars on Opera singing and my teacher there was the distinguished Katerina Karatza. When I moved to Athens, I continued studying first with Mr. Kostis Constantaras and then with Mr. Panos Dimas.

In 1999 I participated in a student competition of Traditional Greek Music, for the Macedonia and Thrace region of Greece, and I and won the third prize for performing “Tzivaeri” and “All birds”. The prize-winners of all regions of Greece travelled to Athens where we were honored with an evening of traditional music at the Athens Concert Hall in the presence of Domna Samiou and the President of the Greece.
